We Ordered A Lot Of These! Instead of fancy (expensive) floral arrangements, we've collected wine, champagne, liquor and beer bottles of various shapes and sizes and created bright centerpieces for every table. The colors of the wedding were emerald green, so the green bottles complemented the decor beautifully. Not including the cost of alcohol (we collected bottles year round, friends brought them or helped us empty them, some bars brought empty containers they couldn't recycle), each table was about $10. The newlyweds liked the simplicity of just the lights in the bottles. We've also used them for Christmas decorations in our RV where I filled the bottles with white silk leaves and really liked it too. Since they were so cheap compared to buying from craft stores or hardware stores, I ordered more than we needed, thinking we would have some sort of breakdown, but we only broke one string. My husband "fixed" it with a wire nut, and while it didn't work in empty bottles, it worked great with a nut hidden between the petals of my Christmas decoration. Some guests asked to take home a bottle or two and as they were so cheap and we had so many we were fine with that! I'll put it this way, since I'm a "belt and suspenders" girl, I put together an extra comp so we can quickly toggle all the glitches on the table. I also ordered 100 packs of extra batteries and they came in an "emergency" kit along with the screwdriver that comes with each box along with an emergency sewing kit, some over the counter medication if needed, separate tissues and hand warmers (the wedding took place in winter in a place where the weather could be in the 70's or 30's!) etc.
