The only things that actually work as advertised are power on, auto-on mode and easy installation. Almost everything else is bad. It's louder than any console I've ever owned. We loudly say "large/powerful tower computer with unoptimized airflow". Aside from being noisy, I can't see the actual temperature change when comparing this fan to a gaming console. This applies to both short gaming sessions and marathons. Installation is really simple and easy, but removing the fan from the system is so clumsy and literally just force. No latch, button or anything, you literally have to pull it until the parts holding the game console flex enough for you to remove the fan. My only concern is that every time I plug in a fan, it's just another chance I'll scratch my system later when I remove it. There is also no USB port on the fan to replace the USB port needed for power. . I wouldn't normally complain about this because it was never advertised. But if you're charging what they do and don't have a built-in USB port like many other console fans do (my Xbox fan does) then the rest of the features work better. But that's not the case. I complain about that.
