I bought 2 of these to hang in my kids room and they are beautiful! They were very easy to install using the wall markers, anchors and spirit level provided. The color is a beautiful dark brown with slight discolouration (typical natural wood stain). They're very light but can still hold a few pounds of whatever you decide to put inside. I hung a set as shown and put the books inside. I hung the second set upside down by unscrewing the fasteners from the back, flipping it over and screwing it back on. It took less than a minute and now I have a flat shelf to put things on, with a rod underneath to hang. Things like headbands or jewelry. If I change my mind later, I can always flip the mounting hardware over and hang it the traditional way.
