The goods were received quickly, as promised. There was hardly any wax visible, and the flat, thin ends of the laces were covered with a very thin layer of plastic. The laces don't bite, so they don't do much to help hold the skates in place. After lacing my skates, I concluded that the ends would not stand up. Surprisingly, after competing in men's competitions several times a week for several months, the ends of the laces held together, as did the laces themselves. But the little wax never did the job. I think it saved a few cents in production costs.
