We've bought them repeatedly, not because we're thrilled with their performance, but because they're about comparable to anything else on the market in their length and weight class. To be honest our dogs live about 2 months. They tend to snap just below the hook. I believe it cracks first, then moisture seeps in and rusts the metal enough to weaken it. At least there should be some kind of rubber reinforcement or something similar at this point. I would love to find something stronger and more durable but I haven't found one in almost 6 years since these dogs were thrown at us. Dogs over 70 pounds. Good-natured and cheerful, but strong!
