I was looking for a slim fit that would protect my MacBook Pro #2141 from surface scratches and allow it to fit in a pocket. This case offers it. However, if you're looking for a little extra room, even for a pencil (not to mention a power cord), there isn't one. In addition, it offers no protection in the event of a fall. Upon opening the packaging I was amazed at the appearance of the product. However, when I touched it and opened it, I was a bit disappointed. It's a cardboard box covered with fabric. The reason I'm disappointed is the price. It was higher than most cases I've researched, but I think because they fit the new MacBook Pro perfectly, they offered it at a premium price. Based on the material I would probably rate it a lot higher if the price reflects the quality. It really shouldn't be more than $18-24 and that's very generous. I'll probably keep it and hope it holds up to light wear and tear.
