The rectangular design is good. Braided flexible wires. Quality control could be better.
Only buy if you need a right angle connector. The wires are braided, but mftr hasn't claimed any strength and was already shabby in one spot. For the price I was expecting something better. It lacks a reassuring loud click when plugging in the jack, but it's an added bonus if you don't like a connection that's too tight. The female end looked cheap but it works.
