Let me start by saying that I gave this 5 stars because I really love this valet. That looks great. Works well enough. It's big enough for all my sunglasses, watches, and bracelets, as well as all the things I carry in my bags every day. It makes my bedside table look clean and simple and keeps things organized that would normally just fall apart. Now, like I said, I really like this product, but there are a few little things that could have been avoided with a little attention to detail on the production side. First, the drawer is a little stiff, causing it to slide over the top of my bedside table when opening or closing the drawer. This was a little annoying, so I attached small polyurethane legs to the base (see photo). This solved that problem. Next, probably because of my OCD and I'm a carpenter, the compartments in the drawer aren't square. (see other photo) Everything looks a bit sloppy, but only I see it and only I notice it. Still. Overall it's pretty damn cool and looks cool. I didn't check the lock but I think it's pointless because if someone steals my jewelry or glasses because the box is locked, they take everything, not just one. It's not very intimidating, but it's cool. All these things are dumb and small, that's why I give it 4 stars.
