A few months ago I managed to lock the key fob in my car. I had the ignition key but it wouldn't open the doors. (Huh?) The hole connecting it to the key ring is worn and broken. I fixed it with a piece of wire and some Bondik (great stuff, check it out!) but it didn't last more than a couple of weeks. So, the key fob fell off in the car, but I didn't notice. It took some effort for me and the serviceman to open it. (And then I drove away and left my bag on the sidewalk with my computer, planner and all, but that's another story. Luckily a police cadet at the university found it and I gave it back.) So. I needed a different solution and it occurred to me that you can get almost anything on Revain. The exchange of key fobs, of course! It's worth every penny. It's ridiculously easy to take the guts out of an old keychain and put them in a new one. Make sure you have registered your vehicle with Revain and you will be notified if the key fob you are viewing is compatible. with your make/model/year.
