I absolutely hate these plates. , these plates are exactly like the photos so I'm not sure what I was expecting. It's up to me I was hoping they would look a little prettier in person I think, not realizing how skinny they would be. I was hoping for daily meals for older children. as strong but not as childish as typical plastic cymbals. And it doesn't look childish, but they don't really look like the plates you use regularly, they look like picnic plates (and we'll keep them for that purpose). What. It's not the product's fault that my expectations didn't match what I ordered. The main problem with them is that they are NOT dishwasher safe. Heck, they hardly ever clean by hand. Are some materials grease resistant? This material appears to be designed to bond with a lubricant. That's rough. And for some reason, the dishwasher does not even wash off food residue. I don't even understand HOW, because they brush off easily with a finger. I think it's the shape of the plates that just prevents the water from reaching them well? Maybe it just doesn't go well with my particular dishwasher, but we JUST installed a new dishwasher and ran into the same issue, which was the final straw for me. I think they would work best as plates that sit under paper plates so they never come in contact with food and judging by the handle (that's the only thing I really like about them) I think it does that could be what they are meant to be. .
