Despite its simplicity, this Boston shaker is much better than the previous one I've used. Admittedly I'm new to cocktails but when I first used this product it was clear that you really need the right tools for the right job and this was the right tool. If you're new to cocktails and entertaining guests like me, you can't go wrong with this setup. Additionally, the folks at Top Shelf do a good job of adding a personal touch to their service, as well as speedy processing and delivery. I even ordered a set of bar spoons from them shortly after receiving the shaker. For the price, quality and service you can't go wrong here in my opinion. Pros: Sturdy stainless steel, intuitive filter design, instructions. Intended for beginners like me and excellent quality for the price. Cons: I live in an apartment with paper thin walls. So far, no one has complained about the noise, but by the way, mixing cocktails in this or another shaker is not a covert operation.
