I have several buckwheat husk pillows that I absolutely love. I use one as a bed pillow, and another favorite is a tiny 7" x 10" rectangular travel pillow that I stuff in my carry-on on long international flights. It sits so well on my shoulder and neck and it's the only way I can fall asleep on long flights without waking up from a stiff neck. Another medium buckwheat sofa cushion is perfect for placing behind your back or under your knees while you relax and read. For those who have never used a buckwheat pillow, the joy lies in the support, body conformance, and airflow. They fit and wrap around the head and neck much better than regular pillows. Due to the airflow around cases, they tend to stay cooler than fiberfill or foam. I like that they are heavier than a well filled feather pillow. Over time, the body will harden and polish to a smooth finish, resulting in your pillow not feeling as full and supportive. In this case, the old sleeves do not need to be removed (unless they get dirty for some reason). In fact, I find that the old polished cases are actually better because they slide over each other more easily and are less noisy. I just add enough additional new cases to fill my pillows with whatever level of attractiveness I like. This time I received three boxes of these replacement cases. They are of good quality and completely odorless (which is very important for the insides of pillows). Some of the cases are used to refill my other pillows. The rest is used to make another medium oblong pillow (there are never too many pillows made with buckwheat flour). I've found that I prefer to fill the inner lining of the pillow with medium weight canvas and then cover it with a decorative cover that can be removed for cleaning if needed. and can't imagine how much 2 pounds weigh, these cases come (boxed) in a bag measuring 11" x 11" x 3.5".
