An adorable toy, but they didn't make it into the app.

I received it as a gift and have been playing with it for about a day. I don't think those criticizing the picture quality are right. Yes, I get better quality from my phone, let alone my DSLR. It's not one of those things. This is a business card sized photo sticker toy. Let's move forward and have fun. Pros: - Battery life is pretty good. - The quality of the photos is sufficient for the job. - The device is cute, reminded me aptly of the 1980s. - Magnetic lens cap - nice touch; I hope I don't lose. - Usage is easy. Cons: - The application is poorly designed making it useless or even dangerous for your Android device. It asks for inappropriate permissions and hasn't been updated for over a year. It doesn't work at all on Android 7. - Since the app is unusable, I have to get a microSD card for it if I want to print photos from other devices, which is a big problem. - Polaroid installs a DRM scheme for the paper using its "Calibration Pages". That's an insult for a $150+ toy. When I got the camera I ordered a bunch of Polaroid paper for it, but I'm tempted to get fakes in response to clumsy DRM creating a point of failure in the camera with no benefit to the consumer. Just save your old calibration pages (such as the ones that came with your camera) to use with a different brand of photo paper. The touch screen is not very responsive. It doesn't really bother me because there's a physical trigger. Conclusions: The things preventing this review from getting 5 stars are DRM and an unforgivably bad Android app. I will still enjoy my new toy, but I will not recommend it to anyone because of these two issues.

Pros
  • Camera and photo
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

SO DISAPPOINTING! Cannot handle multiple photos without crashing completely.
