The car seat cover I originally ordered for my daughter to use with her new baby is white, and made from a very lightweight fabric. We thought that would be best for our hot Arizona summers. However, when her baby is in his car seat and the sun is shining through the windows, the light color doesn't do much to block the bright sunlight, and he squints and gets grumpy. We ordered this cover, in the darker elephant design, and it does a much better job at blocking out the bright sunlight, and has a mesh opening for air circulation. Of the three car seat covers she has, this one is the best by far.
