Review on 🌬️ Friedrich Chill Premier 8000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner with WiFi, White by Nikki Evans

This air conditioner worked very well for the first year of ownership. It's not exactly quiet, but it was fine for our bedroom. The blue light is dazzling at night, but you can turn it off with the remote control. The only problem is that the remote doesn't interact with the device, so the last setting on the remote is what the device switches to. Therefore, it is very inconvenient to use the remote control. There is no way to turn off the display on the unit, so you have to use the remote for everything. By default, when the device is turned on, it goes into sleep mode, which abruptly turns off the device and turns it on again when the room reaches a certain temperature. During the day it's great, but at night it wakes me up every time. AFTER 1 YEAR owned (about 3 months of continuous use) it is defective. It went on and off all night, squeaking and restarting all the time. It only seems to have happened between 1am and 4am and kept me up all night. They were kind enough to offer to send someone to fix it even though it was 10 days out of warranty. I love the iPhone app, but the Wi-Fi connection is poorly designed and difficult to set up, even for a tech-savvy person. It keeps the room cool and I don't hate it, but I think the technical upgrades probably weren't implemented as well as I would have liked.
