Resistance for FMQ

Free motion quilting is a lot of fun with this thread. To be honest, like many others, I am new to free motion quilting and quilting in general. I've made 3 quilted bodices - no finished quilts yet because it wasn't easy to get to the final stage. I took quilting lessons at Craftsy with Leah Day and she mentioned that the yarn she uses the most for FMQ is this yarn. She researched this many years ago and compared many popular and high quality themes and this one came out on top. Your results are consistent with my experience. The fibers don't fray everywhere, they lay flat like butter and even simple things like pulling the bobbin thread on the blanket become easier with this yarn. I don't know why, but that's just the way it is. It doesn't break - in fact it's a bit stronger to cut through as a whole. My stitches were barely mediocre for the first 5 minutes trying to look like I really knew what I was doing. My previous attempts at the other two threads weren't promising and I was frustrated with the whole process. This thread was really a bit of resistance to the process for me. FYI I'm using it on a Pfaff Performance 5.0 with an open quilting foot (no spring foot) set to 6D. I know it's difficult to pull the trigger when buying yarn you don't see in the store. I've tried everywhere—all quilt shops and big stores like Joanns—because I wanted to buy a spool and try it out. Nobody had. I really could have saved myself a lot of time and frustration if I had ordered it sooner. no You also don't pay for advertising. But if enough people start buying it, I might see it in stores more often (no offense to Revain! - you'll probably still get the best price.
