I can't tell if it's real turquoise or not, but it looks like a real stone, not a painted white stone like the ones I bought at a local craft store. I love the variety you get. I used regular size hemp yarn to make the bracelet and the hole in the stone is a bit small for that, but you can get it working if you twist the end to make it sharp!
