My item was carefully packed in a resealable bag so I thought it wouldn't be the same as the photos but I was so wrong! For starters, this is weighty, but not in a bad way. To me it just screams that this is truly handmade and that so much time and real tulle has gone into creating this fabulous piece. I bought a white skirt and it really matches the description. There are no zippers or buttons, just fabric tied with a ribbon, and depending on the size of the person, here's how and where you tie it. It has so much volume and feels so comfortable. I'm 5'2" so the skirt literally falls 1" 1/2" from my ankles. I have a feeling you could wear this alone or with a pair of leggings/tights underneath. That's literally how much fabric is tucked in in this thing!
