My car didn't even have a filter so I didn't have to remove it. I had to shrink it down a bit but once it was in it went back to its normal size. I didn't even know about those brochures until a friend mentioned that they needed to change the cabin filter. Now I can breathe good clean air and will keep changing it. Someone even mentioned adding a few drops of essential oil for a clean scent that emits when the ventilation is turned on. I just went to You Tube to see how to change it. Very easy. Mine is in the back of my glove compartment. The filters are thick and look like they're doing a great job. I've only used the vents twice since installing them and I don't smell that weird vent smell anymore so I guess they're doing their job. Also, they are not expensive at all. Totally worth it and 3 came in one package. Someone mentioned a change this year so this pack will last for 3 years, wow! Each filter is packaged in a sealed pouch so it stays fresh with every change.
