I first discovered the Wago Lever Nuts (aged grey) on a smart home enthusiast forum of which I am a member. They came highly recommended for us DIY smart home enthusiasts who do things like replacing 'dumb' switches with 'smart' switches (like zwave, insteon, etc.). The problem that lever nuts solve is space savings combined with a little more flexibility in wiring layout in densely packed electrical junction boxes. If you know this symptom, you will understand. Try taking a bunch of 3-5 neutral wires, twisting them right together, and then inserting them into the back of the box behind a set of deep, bulky smart switches. It's never graceful. Enter the Lever Nut - You can take this pack of 5 neutrals, pop everything into the Lever Nut and it will lay flat and also stay a lot more flexible as you push the assembly. Wires and lever nut back in the box. I've found this to be a tricky task that can result in your wire nut breaking due to stress and pressure, or that you can't box your smart switch into something simple without some serious stress. Much more reassuring to know the connection won't loosen or break once everything is reassembled (no arcing hazard) and then not having to strain to slide those giant switches into the box. Then if you still need to change something, just lift the little lever, pull out what you need and replace. No more stripped wire nuts. This is Wago's newest style of lever nut and they are thinner than their older counterparts which has already saved a lot of space and time and they have taken that even further with this A++ design. . Also, they made them crisp so you can absolutely confirm that you have good, correct stripe depth and wire engagement in them. I'm a lever nut believer and a believer. I will never use old fashioned wire nuts again.
