They shine perfectly. I wished they were there when I moved into a hundred year old house twenty years ago. Now I have them in long dark closets and under stairs where you used to have to make or plug in expensive electric lighting and they are amazing, also on the folding table and in some chests. You save a lot of space because there are no lamps to install. They stay on for about 15 seconds, I would like an additional 5 seconds. I bought a set of rechargeable batteries and they are the best you can do for this product. I use them extensively and the batteries lasted 3-4 weeks. Problem? Adhesive strips don't work at all. The backing paper and supposedly sticky strips practically fell off by themselves, and there was nothing sticky on the lightstrips or on the motion sensors or on the back for that matter. I had to purchase double sided tape before installing or using it. I didn't roughly pull the paper from the background or remove it in any other way, but vice versa.
