Carrying and shoulder strap. The case is well padded inside to protect the contents. The side pocket offers space for a charging cable, a pen and an iPhone. However, I returned it because I have an 11 inch iPad Pro (2020) with a keyboard accessory. It was VERY tight with the keyboard that came with it. It took me a few minutes to slide the iPad with keyboard into my bag and close it. I didn't think the fit would improve with use as the case was solid and well designed. An 11-inch iPad Pro without a keyboard would easily fit inside.
