Review on Sistema Collection Rectangle Storage Container by Vanessa Johnson

I bought 8 2 liter / 67.6 oz Sistema containers and they initially worked fine. Unfortunately, the blue liner/seal in the lid (which is critical to the tightness of the jar) has failed on more than half of the jars (see attached image). These seals have loosened over time (initial problems started in less than 9 months of ownership, 1 month of use) and no longer sit in the channel they were designed for. I contacted System in May to inquire about replacement seals and the company said they do not offer these parts as free replacements or as a separate purchase. You can't buy the cap separately, which seems very wasteful when you need a replacement. The system only comes with a 12 month warranty, which disappointed me as that period had expired. Other brands that can be found on Revain offer a lifetime guarantee, so for the same price it seems more reasonable to go with a company that stands behind their product.
