Review on 📚 WELLAND Set of 2 Black Floating Shelves Wall Mounted Shelf, 10" Deep for Home Decor by William Dean

I really wanted to love these shelves but the anchors that come with them are terrible. I had 3 of the first 6 strips and because the anchors are metal they didn't bend and break the drilled holes in the wall causing them to lose their grip. We replaced them with our own plastic anchors and that helped, but they just can't hold anything heavy. They state they should hold up to 10lbs but I would say you need to hold 1-2lbs at most. We had to buy brackets to put something underneath so they weren't floating shelves anymore. If they worked they would be nice and I understand the design they were aiming for, but the retractable arms aren't strong enough even when we press the base firmly against the wall. They fall to the ground immediately. So if you just need them for some knick knacks or the odd photo frame, they're perfect. I was going to put a modem and some game console controllers on it and it immediately started sagging.
