Everyone was so pissed that this product arrived new, soldered and sealed. And it's right. It comes EXTREMELY crumpled and flat. Unsuitable for use in this condition. However! I bought this with the expectation that I could undo the "damage" and in fact I did. Is it still annoying? Yes. Uncomfortable? Absolutely. Can I say that this product costs $30? Eh, maybe more like 20-25 bucks. Anyway, here's how I fixed it: You'll need: Dryer on no heat and a clothes steamer min. No heat matters - it has plastic on it and we don't want to melt it. This fluffed up the main part of the pillow beautifully and the kittens' unwrapping began. 2) I massaged the kittens in my hands, trying to break up the compressed stuffing. It worked very well, but not perfectly. See photos. Some needed more love than others and I could probably get them all together with enough patience. 3) THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP. I steamed the pillow. DO NOT IRON. for a couple. Here, too, plastic can melt. I had a clothes steamer that I used on a pillow and almost all of the creases came out. Also on plastic! Be EXTRA careful when steaming the plastic and use your hands to flatten it before the plastic has completely cooled. Not perfect, but imperceptible in kittens. I was even able to turn it over and steam it inside out to get rid of the unsightly creases that showed through the plastic screen. These steps eliminate two of the biggest problems people have with this product: wrinkles and volume. I feel a lot more confident now than before. A few more kittens wouldn't hurt, of course, but it fills up quite nicely with a fluffy pillow (the photo shows where my hand is and how it looks stuffed). Hope that helps!
