You need a drill or tailpiece.

Based on the pictures in the instructions, there is a metal part where all the legs should be screwed on. I'm not a super handyman so it took me a minute to figure out where the marked areas were. Since these are tiny holes, they are difficult to put together unless you have a drill/screwdriver. Also, it's very cute and a decent size. I love it. I haven't assembled it yet because I don't have a drill press. I will borrow one.
