The cap is a typical baseball cap but with snaps on the sides to keep the visor in place. But the hat isn't very deep and doesn't sit very well on a big head. As others have said, the shield isn't rigid either. It also has a lot of glare and distorts everything. When you wear it, the slightest breeze blows in your face like a shield. The plastic shade also has a terrible vinyl smell. The photo is very deceptive - I didn't believe the other reviews because everything looked beautiful in the photos. Don't repeat the same mistake! The screen does NOT lift as shown in the photo as it is a very soft material. I was very disappointed.
