This is an absolutely beautiful set but (like real crystal) it contains lead and I decided I didn't want it to seep into my drinks, so I ended up returning it for a lead-free crystal. Anything with a high PH should not be stored in lead if you intend to consume it. It was once considered a luxury to have beautiful lead-based crystal because it sparkles and is easily cut into beautiful patterns. We now know better what is safe to eat. If you only have them as a display, they won't disappoint! But if you want to store liquid for consumption, think twice about lead-based crystals. Or enjoy its beauty and live on the edge. it's your mouth
