I bought this cable to run my Ryzen 3800x with an ASUS ROG Strix X570 motherboard. It has an 8+4 EPS power input for the CPU, and I only had an 8-pin EPS cable (always save the extra cables that come with the PSU). While the 3800x performed well at stock speeds in games and benchmarks with a single 8-pin power connector, I've heard that voltage stability issues can arise when overclocking.
