Steel - excellent quality
My 2006 Honda Accord has a steel sump. I needed a steel drain plug, not aluminum, and am impressed with the craftsmanship and extremely strong magnetism. I look forward to changing the oil next time to see what put it together just to improve the engine's longevity in the long run, which is its purpose. Thank you for providing a great quality product!
