My pup, Soffice, aka "Soff", ate this jerky beef heart. Her "normal" approach to new food is to step back, make a circle 3 to 4 feet away, sniff, jump back as if she's being electrocuted, and do so in a slightly smaller circle repeat until she is satisfied that the product will not kill, injure, or poison her. . I rescued this puppy 2 years ago and he is still VERY careful. Side By Side is one of the few products that Soff is enthusiastic about. It comes in very thin sheets that break easily into smaller pieces. My only issue is that the pieces are very sharp and she cut her mouth somewhere. She didn't care AT ALL! I would worry about her intestines if the sharp bits went away entirely. It doesn't seem to be a problem. Assuming this product seems like jerky, I'm keeping a close eye on the package I received as it expires in 6 weeks and has no preservatives; that is a good thing. This also means you need to be aware of the possibility of mold. All in all a bit expensive, but 5 stars if it wasn't for the expired packaging ✨
