I have never wall mounted a TV before and worked on this project alone to surprise my husband. The mount was perfect for my needs. Simple design with multiple mounting holes so I can mount it in different ways. TV size 65 inches, weight 64 pounds (I weighed it) I feel safe and stable. In my photos you can see a large TV that I hung on the floor and a 32 inch TV is set to scale on a table above. Behind the TV is a 36" wide window, right where I had to hang the 65" TV. I didn't want to drill holes in my board and plaster the walls. I also didn't want to drill large holes in the moldings. I decided to make supports out of structural aluminum and mount them in the frame of the window opening. With my aluminum bracket and TV mount attached to it, I tested it by hanging from this thing like a crossbar. I weigh 135 pounds and felt solid. With a little thought and planning, I was able to easily mount the TV to the bracket. tilt adjustment. I'm lucky it's not necessary, but I understand how frustrating it can be without special tools. I can't put my hand back there. I need 22" socket extensions and the right size bit to access the set screws.
