I got this for my laptop which doesn't have a keyboard backlight. I opened the package and read the instructions that came with the light - my first clue should have been how informative they are, unlike other instructions or manuals that only have pictures or less, they answered every question I had could possibly have. So I plugged the light into my laptop monitor and USB port and like magic the light glowed and was absolutely perfect. It has different lighting options and then each has a brightness that you can turn up and down. The clip has the perfect strength to keep the light on the monitor without damaging anything! No glare just relief for my tired eyes! Recommend it to anyone who wants to try!
