Works well but very harsh and digs into the cheekbones.

I'm a massage therapist and I REALLY wanted to love this product, but it's SO HARD on my face! My clients can't even lie face down for 2 minutes before complaining of cheek pain. I ended up pairing it with two lambswool face covers and bought a silicone pad to place on top. After three layers of padding everything is perfect. I really like that clients can lie face down on the mat, it's better than any other solution but still not perfect. The secret to making this more comfortable is to move your face all the way up onto the pillow.
