School bags don't last long with us. We ordered a custom book bag for our youngest daughter and the zipper broke on the first day of school. I ordered this bag for her mainly because of the galaxy print she wanted. Apparently, everything related to the galaxy is now fashionable among children. She uses this bag every school day, as does the lunch box that came with it. Surprisingly, we didn't have any problems with any of them. In fact, the water bottle went in her pocket and the water didn't even seep through the pocket. We also found lunches that turned into lunch boxes in science experiments that were boxed and again didn't leak. As a parent, this is a win. She tosses this bag around - dragging it across the sidewalk, throwing it on the floor of the bus, etc. However, it washes down and looks like new. In fact, we're shocked that there are NO HOLES. Our other children have book bags with holes in the bottom from being thrown. Shoulder straps are still strong and new-looking - no twisting, no buckle issues. The zippers are strong and didn't snag on any fabric which is another wonder, especially on this baby. It has 3 different sized water bottles and they all fit in the outside pockets. To be honest I can't say enough about this bag. The brand has made us stop using expensive custom school bags and choose only this brand.
