I bought this case for my new iPad. I have a 4 year old so I wanted something permanent. Looks like a ticket. I like the slot on the back where I can put my hand and comfortably hold the iPad. The stand works well and can be rotated for portrait or landscape viewing. I didn't need a shoulder strap to carry the iPad, which would actually make me nervous, but we used it to hang it on the back of the car seat so my son can watch a show on a long drive without holding it .
