There's good and bad here, light weight, perfect for camping, heats well and when done right, really good taste. I should have returned it but I won't be going back because it was a good price even though the purculator is nothing like the one from many decades ago. All of them were up to the early 70's. You just HAVE to do it. If you can rock it, you're getting stainless steel to last. This item is for occasional use as the stick tends to float due to the boiling of the water when some coffee is used it seems like it needs more weight on the plate. other cons Because it is so thin and fragile and breaks easily. I wanted the same quality as in the past but no, but it looks good on the stove top and makes good coffee. I will keep them. LB
