Review on TSC Desktop Thermal Barcode Bluetooth by Mateusz Roczon ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I am not satisfied with the product, there are no positive qualities.

We have TE210 On the test, the printer performed well. Then 148 pieces were bought. When printing, they sometimes hang at random times - no matter what and how to print - from their program or PDF from Acrobat. Moreover, they hang on an arbitrary label, i. E. if you then send the same file for printing again, it may not hang, or it may hang on another one. Hangs when connected via USB. Two ethernet printers had a dead one out of the box. There is no technical support from TSC: What do you print, what kind of switches do you have, do you have PoE, and do your users use HTTP? (WTF) While being treated by turning off the internal battery - the solution was found on the microsoft forum just for the TE200, but it also worked for our TE210. In addition to them, 19 pieces of MB240T were bought - there is generally darkness - about a quarter of the heads have already burned out on the left side, one on the right. We print on a wide 4" label - this is not because of narrow labels. Well, they hang regularly - it is also treated with a battery. tried everything - "clean" power, no PoE, USB connection, separate vlan - hang, and that's it. And in one of the dependencies, the head burns out, and we went to the repair. When I took printers for a test, a representative of TSC AUTO ID TECHNOLOGY EMEA GMBH said: our competitor Ho. Ell has all the supplies of spare parts through the European office, despite the fact that they have a factory in Hong Kong - you are tormented to wait for repairs, but we have everything is in stock, including heads, response to appeal - 24 hours, partners all over the country. In fact, there is a reaction, here he told the truth - they send you an application form for repairs and you send the printer to the transport company for repairs :) fortunately, at the expense of the recipient, i. E. service. In fact, so-so happiness. When we sent the first two MB240Ts for repair with burnt heads, then the spare parts for them - the heads - were stuck at customs (sic! ) - they burn so often that there are not enough stocks, or what?

Pros
  • thoughtful design, ease of use
Cons
  • Printers are buggy. No tech support.

With its pros: Printing on both thermal paper and thermal transfer Has cons: I had to tinker with drivers and connection to 1C
