This is the perfect sketchbook. Each page strikes the perfect balance between a quality that's high enough to allow for more rendered/finished sketches, and not so high quality that I don't feel bad about leaving a page with some pointless doodles. The binding of the album is unique (or at least not the way I've seen it before), it allows the album to lay absolutely flat on the table and the pages are flush with each other, allowing me to take a larger sketch with me. side to side without much trouble (the gap is still there, but it's less noticeable than other types of fasteners). It's also surprisingly durable, I was afraid it would get brittle but I've carried it everywhere in my backpack on campus and they're holding up great even after a month of heavy use. The fact that you can get two of these for less than $20 is absolutely mind boggling and a huge benefit to a poor college student like me. Overall I would say this sketchbook is amazing if you love using graphite as much as I do. This also works with the handle, but it will be visible from the other side. If you're more of a marker or watercolor painter, you'll probably still want to find sketchbooks that are more geared towards that, but these sketchbooks are perfect for any artist who wants to do some quick sketches.
