This is a great aquarium. You have to know what you're doing. It took a little fiddling to get it right. EXTREMELY frustrated that I set everything up to find out the light broke when turned on. It would be a five star rating if it wasn't. I'll be happy to post more when this gets fixed. The tank itself is great, but considering I paid extra for the cool headlights, I'm pretty disappointed. Update: I found that the headlights work! I received a quick response via email on how to fix the problem. The support group is great! I am very happy with my pool! I can simulate sunsets and algae booms with mcr lighting which is a plus. It is important to note that no root can penetrate the substrate without affecting the filter. All my plants float or are attached to something! I used additional media from Biorb (4 bags total) because I had a 16 gallon tank. I bought a biorb jewelry in the middle of a large size as well as some large biorb pebbles. I also bought a Biorb heater, they are perfect for curved surfaces. You should also get a Bubble Tube Guard - it should come with the tank but doesn't, it's available ($6) and a must have. I added everything else myself. The tank is just amazing. I have corycots, a school of galactic danios, lots of shrimp and a rooster. Everyone loves it! Would recommend to anyone looking for a new tank! It just takes some research to figure out how this tank works best, but when you get it right, this tank is nothing short of fascinating.
