I have 4 old versions of this Hunter humidifier and I love them. I was hesitant to buy the new version as several reviews complained about the poor redesign (despite a recent good review from Consumer Reports). I bought it and it works great after a day of work. I'll update if things get bad. The revised version has a knob to set the output level to 1, 2 or 3 (there is no knob anymore) and it works as intended. The top of the base can be easily removed when you need to clean it. The bottle cap is slightly different, but fits snugly (no leaks) on the bottle (made with 16.9 fl oz Aqua Hydrate bottled water, which is stronger than most other single-use water bottles) that I used with the previous model. The bottle glows with a light with a color (blue, green, or purple) that indicates your chosen output level setting (1, 2, or 3). The light is not very bright, but another button can turn it off if you don't want it. The device is powered via the USB connector at the end of the cable (the device does not come with a standard plug as before). So far I don't see anything wrong with this redesign. If the device lasts at least a year with daily use, I'll leave it at 5 stars. I will keep you up-to-date.
