I bought this to read in the early morning Arizona sun. the day. Perfect for this purpose! I love that I can drape it over my head, neck and shoulders. And if necessary also on other parts of the body. It will probably be too hot to use in full sun during the day, but it also provides good coverage after the sun goes down. It's a little expensive but I'm very happy with this product. It serves many purposes. Haven't washed it yet so may have to reserve further comments. By the way, I bought the white one.
