Unlike more traditional fans that use an AA battery, this fan will run for hours on a single charge. Also the description in this review is a bit outdated as the fan supports all 3 speeds when connected via USB. Also, it appears to use pass-through charging, meaning it can charge and power at the same time via USB. You don't need to charge the battery a little when it's plugged in. My only complaint is that the fans use a slightly different version of the 18650 batteries than I already had as this fan uses a battery with no nipple so I can't and don't use my regular batteries which have a nipple on top your dedicated charger can use the included battery. While this fan is great I ended up buying 2 more; one for my wife and one for me so I can switch them on the charger and always have a fan ready. The high speed is very strong and doesn't irritate the sound, but I usually only need the 2nd stage.
