I swear by this product! I'm Jamaican and Puerto Rican and my hair is a combination of 3b, 3c and 4a with all the curly hair in the world. I've been wanting to go to salons to get a keratin treatment but it's too expensive! I spent at least $300 on the treatment. When I first used this product (October 2017) a friend helped me and we used too much! We almost used the entire bottle resulting in an insane amount of smoke. We had masks and gloves and were still coughing. Having previously performed the procedure in the salon, I was expecting smoke, so we were not afraid of smoke. The result was great! The only thing I didn't like was that my hair became stiff after ironing. It was so bad I only lasted a day before washing it off, but I'm pretty sure it was because we used too much product. I just did my second procedure on my own and it's even better than before! I used a lot less than the first time and it still came out great. I used a paintbrush and painted it as directed an inch from the root and maybe another 2-3 inches below. Then I just combed through a few times to distribute it over the entire area. I used about 1/3 of the bottle. This time I was able to wear the product three days before the last flush. TIP for dealing with fumes: Sit directly in front of a fan. If you blow a dry and flat iron in the opposite direction, the fan will blow the fumes out of your face and won't bother you at all. I did this the second time I did the treatment and had NO smoking problems at all! I think this only works if you do it yourself, otherwise the fumes will just hit the person behind you in the face. Can work with two people if the fan is on the side of both of you.
