Elastic is in a strange place

I had high hopes for this dress, since it looks so cute on the model. Unfortunately it looks very frumpy on. I think it's because the elastic waist is placed at such a strange spot. it's not quite high enough to be an empire waist, but not low enough to be comfortably at your actual waist. The result is very unflattering.

Pros

The dress is designed to flatter the female figure, with its figure-hugging silhouette and lace fabric that accentuates the curves while still maintaining a modest look. This dress is absolutely stunning. It looks gorgeous in person— photos don’t do it justice. There is something so feminine and beautiful about the lace on this dress and the lace is truly the star of the show here. I definitely recommend this dress.For reference: my daughter is a juniors XS and fits this women’s S perfectly so, sizing runs small. Size up!
