This kettle has everything I wanted and more. I am happy about my purchase. It can easily be used without the screen that I usually use. The collar that the strainer sits in works well and stays in place when I use the pan without the strainer. The lid fits snugly so you don't have to hold it while pouring. Unlike other teapots I've had, this one pours very cleanly no matter what angle I hold the teapot to top up with leftover tea - no mess! The infuser has very small holes so even finer loose tea cannot seep through, and the infuser reaches almost to the bottom of the teapot, allowing you to successfully brew less than a full teapot of loose tea. It doesn't take up any more space than the kettle I'm replacing, but holds 10 ounces more. The handle is well shaped and well balanced to pick up the pan even when full. The price is very reasonable and lower than many similar products. And of course, clear glass looks great when using blooming tea. I will recommend this pot to friends and buy it as a gift for others. Update: Your customer service is amazing. They email you after the sale and give their extension number if there's a problem. So it happened that I lost the collar a few weeks after buying it (my problem is complete - apparently I accidentally threw it in the bin when I threw away the tea bags!). I contacted them through Revain and they took care of it straight away, no hassle on their part and a clear commitment to making the customer happy. A real pleasure to deal with! Later added durability comment: I've had this pot for a while when I ended up sitting like a cat. Left the pot on the kitchen table with the cat in this part of the house overnight. The next morning I found the pot on the ground where the cat had apparently knocked it over. No scratch on it. Now, admittedly, I have 2 layers of wax-free flooring in my kitchen, but I was impressed that despite its sophisticated looks, it has proven to be durable. Added comment on the metal ring coming out of the pan. It snaps firmly into the rim of the glass. I've found that you have to twist it a bit until you feel it hold when you push it down. Still have a lot of fun with this potty and would recommend it unreservedly.
