Review on Treasborn Natural White Sisal Spare Scratching Post: Refill & Refurbish Your Large Cat Tree Safely by Brenda Finlinson

I was looking for a new scratching post for my big cat for several months. I used to be able to find a single post all scratched at places like the grocery store where I got the current one. This view was very affordable and good value. No longer. In my experience, they are not even available in pet stores. I ordered a cat post a month ago and it did not match the picture. My cat got her claw caught in it and couldn't get it out without my help. So I find this product which is a post replacement. It comes in a pack of two. Not only does it smell like the glue used to attach the sisal cord, but it also doesn't come with the screw needed to attach it to the base. I had to go for a metric screw. Now the new stand attaches to the base of the old one, but my cat shows no interest in it. She's been sniffing it up and down and doesn't want to use it. It feels strong and the twine looks like it's firmly attached to a post, but she hasn't used it. I hope the glue smell goes away because I feel like I don't have a choice. I literally spent hours looking for this replacement post and it's a huge disappointment.
