Review on Fisher-Price Classic Xylophone: Timeless Melodies for Kids by Tim Larsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just cut the cord. suitable for baby toys

This toy was very well received by my 13 month old daughter. She has been obsessed with everything and everyone since she was little (5 months old), even a bit musical. I had to show her how to play it several times, but she figured it out quickly and plays with it every day now. All keys seem to be perfectly matched. But to be honest, even if it wasn't, it wouldn't have bothered me much at such a young age. Oh well. This xylophone is very well built and has held up amazingly well to my rough daughter. She pulls and drops this thing and beats it to death and it still looks and works brand new. When I first opened it my daughter couldn't hit the keys because the string restricted her movement with a hammer. The only way she could hit the keys would be if I pointed a hammer at her. I grabbed the scissors and cut the cord. Problem solved. I don't know why people complain. It's a safety issue if the cable was longer! The hammer never leaves our house, so I'm not worried about losing it. Simply cut the cable and free the hammer. All in all I highly recommend it. This is a staple every child/toddler should have.
