I really wanted to like this mouthguard. I have two others that are perfectly shaped and work great, but my Krav sparring partner and I thought it would be fun to get them for the look. They look great at first glance and seem very solid, but in the sculpting process they absolutely let me down. Mouth guards have a center seam, presumably from the original injection molding process. This seam expands and opens up during welding, leaving a gap. On the silver, this seam opened up so wide on the first boil that I'm pretty sure I could easily tear the kappa in half. The black seems structurally strong, but after a few repeated boils to improve the fit (a process encouraged by the instructions and which I've done with other aligners with no problem), it sagged enough that the tips of my front teeth were exposed. and large pieces of plastic get in my teeth, making it uncomfortable and very difficult for me to speak. So now I have one mouthguard that is comfortable but I can't rely on it to protect and another that fits and feels solid but is uncomfortable and looks bulging. I was tempted to try another pair because I was so excited about these, but I'm worried about wasting my money on some other rubbish.
