We have used these for our two children (9 and 12 years old). Good backpack design, easy to use, comfortable, light. It is good if there is an insulated water hose. I wish the water bladder could open from the top seal for easier filling; it has a round opening with a screw cap on top. My only major complaint is the bite valve on my 12 year old's bag broke after just a week of use. Disappointing for summer hikes. Now it's slowly dripping. So I give them a point for not having a very strong bite nose.
